Pub Quiz Utrecht (2024 update)
So you want to do a Pub Quiz in Utrecht? Lucky you! There are several venues in the City where you can spend a nice evening quizzing. Check out the Utrecht venues hosting a Pub Quiz below.
1. Café Lijn 4
Twijnstraat 3, 3511 ZG Utrecht
At Cafe Lijn 4, Upbeatles hosts a regular Pub Quiz every second Monday of the month and a themed Quiz on the last Monday of each month. So no less than two quizzes a month at Lijn 4!
There is room for up to 20 teams. Starting the Monday before the quiz, you can register a team for both quizzes via jochem@upbeatles.nl They will then hold a table for you, as long as there are seats available.
2. The Florin
Nobelstraat 2, 3512 EN Utrecht
From September through June, an international Pub Quiz is held twice a month on Wednesdays from 9:15 p.m. at The Florin.
The Florin has been hosting a quiz since 1998! It is Utrecht’s first and still most authentic quiz with the legendary MR BALLS as host. Participating costs only 1 euro per person, and the number of team members is unlimited. There are also prizes to be won, ranging from bottles of whiskey to t-shirts.
3. Eetcafé De Poort
Tolsteeg Barrier 2, 3511 ZD Utrecht
Café De Poort in Utrecht’s Museum Quarter hosts Pub Quiz ‘De PoortQuiz’ twice a month on a Monday.
The quiz start at 8 p.m. Teams may consist of up to 6 people. The cost is 4 euros per person, paid in cash or Tikkie to the QuizMaster.

4. Lebowski
Domplein 17, 3512 JD Utrecht
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, Lebowski hosts a fun Pub Quiz. Upbeatles will act as host of the quiz. You can sign up on Lebowski’s Facebook page.
The Music Bingo at Lebowski is also a great experience. Upbeatles does this on the last Wednesday of each month. Occasionally, Lebowski also hosts a unique quiz, such as the Friends Pub Quiz.
5. Oproer Brouwerij biercafé
Beyaertdreef 5, 3562 GG Utrecht
Starting in July 2022, a Pub Quiz will be held every 1st Wednesday of the month at 8 p.m. at Oproer.
The quiz will consist of several rounds, including a photo, video, audio and music round. It is led by Upbeatles. Teams can have a maximum of six members.
Each participant pays 6 euros, and your team can reserve a table for the event. Find more info on this Facebook page.
6. The Basket Utrecht
Genevelaan 8, 3584 CC Utrecht
Every 2nd Monday of the month (except during the summer months) a fun Pub Quiz is held at The Basket Utrecht.
The quiz starts at 7 p.m. and consists of 8 rounds that include music clips, celebrity photos, and more. Participation costs 2 euros per person and The Basket will pay the winning team’s drink bill! You can register through the website.
7. Landhuis in de Stad
Park Oog in Al 1, 3533 HE Utrecht
A special Pub Quiz is regularly organized at Landhuis in de Stad in Utrecht.
The quiz will be held in the park. You can register with a team of 4 to 6 people. Participating costs 17.50 euros per team, but if you come for a bite to eat before the quiz, you play for free. The quiz starts at 8 p.m.

8. Camping Ganspoort

On every second and last Tuesday of the month, Camping Ganspoort hosts Upbeatles’ one and only pub quiz.
With a quiz team of up to six people, you can compete for the win.

9. Veltins biergarten
Oudegracht aan de Werf 147, 3511 AL Utrecht
At Veltins Biergarten in the heart of Utrecht, a Pub Quiz is organized on a regular basis.
The quiz will be hosted by Upbeatles.

10. Stadsschouwburg Utrecht
Lucasbolwerk 24, 3512 EJ Utrecht
A Pub Quiz with humor is occasionally presented by the improvisational comedy group Flunknarf at the cafe Mrs. B. Dudok in the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.
What to expect? “A rock-solid pub quiz with questions in all sorts of categories, created by Upbeatles, combined with skits and quiz rounds by improv group Flunknarf.” Keep an eye on the City Theatre calendar for the announcement of the next quiz. The date of the upcoming quiz will be announced there.
11. TivoliVredenburg
Vredenburgkade 11, 3511 WC Utrecht
Every so often, TivoliVredenburg hosts a fun Pub Quiz. For example, the Pop Quiz with the Three Imaginary Boys, “a household name that has established itself for more than 15 years; in Utrecht, the world and the universe.”

13. Café & Poppodium Stathe

Café & Poppodium Stathe organizes the Stathe Pub Quiz,with quizmaster Reinier, on every first Tuesday of the month.
Quiz teams may consist of up to five people and participation costs 4 euros per person.

14. Café Averechts

Café Averechts hosts a bilingual Pub Quiz on every last Saturday of the month.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the quiz starts at 8:30 p.m.
Participation costs 2 euros per person. There are prizes donated by game store Het Lab.

15. ‘t Kippegie

‘t Kippegie organizes the Kippegie Pub Quiz on a regular basis.
The next quiz will be on Feb. 25, 2024.
The quiz starts at 3 p.m., walk-in starting at 2:30 p.m.

16. vandeStreek Oudegracht

At vandeStreek Oudegracht, a Pub Quiz is held on every last Sunday of the month from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in partnership with Pubquizkampioen.
Besides the regular quiz, there are also 4 additional themed quizzes (around the Song Festival, the European Football Championship, the Olympics and the Dutch Film Festival).
Teams may consist of up to 5 people and participation costs 5 euros per person. Registration can be done through the vandeStreek website.
17. Bierlokaal de Luifel

Bierlokaal de Luifel is hosting a Pub Quiz on every second Wednesday of the month, in partnership with Pubquizkampioen, from 8:30 p.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.
The quiz always has a photo round and music round, and is otherwise very diverse in content.
Quiz teams may consist of up to five players and participation costs 5 euros per person.
